An antique oiler (Miri is also known as an oil town due to our rich reserves).

Today’s photo was shot and contributed by chamar.

The photo was shot from the cockpit before landing at Miri Airport. That’s one view that I will probably never get a chance to capture myself.

The building is the Dewan Suarah Miri or the Miri Civic Centre. This building houses the Library (or at least one section of it). Today, it continues to hold many functions for Miri residents.

This photo was shot from the Miri City Fan (one of the parks here). The man with the nets is one of those employed to keep the park, and its many ponds, sparkling.

Photo was taken by JY. (I think I’m going to make Wednesday ‘Contributor’s Day’.)

A great perspective of Miri’s first and oldest oil well named the Grand Old Lady, located atop Canada Hill. She was in operation for well over 60 years before she was retired, and now she is one of Miri City’s famous landmarks.

Today’s photo has been kindly contributed by JY.
