Miri Airport

This is Miri’s airport shot at night. The airport is among the busiest in Malaysia and it is a main hub for many of Sarawak’s rural air routes.

Just a few months ago, Malaysia Airlines started a route between Miri and Hong Kong (with a transit at Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia). This, I think, is the furthest route connecting to Miri thus far.

Night Barge

A boat on the Miri River. This shot was taken from the Miri Waterfront at night.

It was kind of weird squatting down with a camera and a tripod just outside a restaurant, but it was a fun experience. A couple people even came up and asked me what I was doing and if it was possible to effectively take a photo at night. I don’t know what the Mandarin word for “shutter speed” is, so I said “I don’t know”.

Glowy, glowy moon

The moon above Miri. This is a photo I took while out for a walk around my neighbourhood.
